Use of graphite shafts and new club designs

There is good news for all those golfers who wish to use graphite shafts. Graphite shafts are back in business with a bang, stronger and lighter than ever before along with new club designs.

Graphite shafts and new designs:

It was always believed that steel shafts are much more efficient than graphite shafts. However, this has been proved wrong scores of times. Even well renowned players are using graphite shafts. In the past, graphite shafts were used by novices or mid to high handicappers, While steel shafts were used by better players. However, because of the increasing high quality of graphite shafts and the production of new designs, graphite shafts are gaining increasing popularity. Graphite shafts are very light as compared to steel. This allows players to aim for longer distances. However, this can be an advantage or disadvantage depending on the player’s style and comfort. Graphite shafts also score over steel shafts in terms of control. They feel good when the ball is hit. It is also the best option if you are using wooden clubs. There are also many variations in graphite shafts due to the production of new club designs. The disadvantages associated with graphite shafts are controlled and totally eliminated because of these new and innovative models. People with a bit of money to spare can also take advantage of colourful, weightless, custom-made golf clubs. Now – a- days manufacturers are looking at the prospects of creating the perfect club designs with irreproachable graphite shafts that can satisfy golfers both in terms of cost and performance.

Considerations while using Graphite shafts:

Graphite shafts come with their own disadvantages. Old-fashioned graphite shafts can pose some problems for high handicappers. Things like swing length, flex and length should be taken into account with respect to personal convenience and abilities of the player. They are also much more expensive as compared to steel shafts. Extra vibrations sent by graphite shafts can also pose some problems for new users.

Despite these disadvantages, graphite shafts are making their presence felt in the golfing community.
