Stretching, bending and loosening up before the game

Stretching and loosening up before the game, is extremely necessary to excel in golf and avoid unnecessary injury at the same time.

How it helps:

Stretching exercises are recommended both before and after the game. Most people underestimate the potentials of such exercises. However, stretching, bending and loosening up before any game is extremely essential for rejuvenating the tired muscles and facilitating energy demanded by the game. Stretching also improves your swinging ability. The shots are also much more straighter. Stretching prevents injury by warming up the muscles making them more elongated and ready for action. Playing golf without stretching can induce injuries like hand sprains and most harmful of all, backaches. Stretching also gives much needed stamina and strength by preparing the muscles for the game. Stretching isolates the muscles one by one, thereby golfers can exercise lower back region, the arms etc. general exercises, even strenuous ones cannot achieve this. Muscles become elastic if stretching and bending exercises are done regularly. However, if left alone for a long time, these muscles harden leading to many chronic and sometimes long-lasting injuries. There are many different types of stretching exercises designed specially for golf players. Squats and rotations movements work great. All kinds of bending movements and wild hand swinging exercises do a great deal in giving you a perfect stretch. All these exercises also promote flexibility, which is another essential element of Golf. There are many advantages of stretching. They promote blood flow and circulation throughout the body. Body movements become smooth and well coordinated. It also keeps going without strains or injury breaks.

Precautions:

Stretching needs to be done under the eye of coaches and other experts if you are a novice. All kinds of bending and stretching movements should be recommended by your physician, especially if you have suffered injuries in the past. A complete health check up is therefore very necessary. Guidelines required for stretching and bending need to be followed strictly.

Your golf will improve tremendously if you stretch perfectly and bend cautiously before your big game.
