Golf handicap is the term used, to refer to the abilities of players based on strict rules and regulations. Each and every player tries to lower his handicap by enhancing his skills and potentials.

Golf handicap:

Golf handicap is a numerical term and suggests the measure of an amateur golfer’s potentials. It is obtained through complex calculations in order to arrive at some estimation of the golfer’s level of play. This is beneficial as it allows players to compete against each other on an equal level. Also, the rules that determine each player’s handicap vary from one state or country to other. Player’s have to adhere to the handicaps awarded to them and comply with the rules accordingly. However, at the same time, each and every player tries to lower his handicap by improving his game and striving for relative perfection.

Lower your handicap:

There are some simple ways in which you can lower your handicap. The best way to start is by understanding your current playing style and accompanying handicap. Most likely you will come up with solutions once you have analyzed your playing abilities completely. This can be done by focusing on all aspects of the game. You can rely on scores to understand your handicap as long as you are careful against overestimation and underestimation of your abilities. Therefore you can begin by understanding your strengths and weaknesses accurately by observing yourself or by seeking expert advice. You can then play to your strengths and control your weaknesses accordingly. Handicap can be lowered by engaging in appropriate practice. You can stay on top of the game by improving your basics by having technical clarity in your stance, swing and appropriate techniques of grip. This will help you to lower your handicap and enhance your personal skills. However, mental aspects of the game, like motivational factors also help you to lower your score considerably. You can engage yourself in relaxation and meditation to improve your mental strength and relieve stress. With effective strategy you can lower your handicap and raise your personal bar of play.
