Identify your role model

There are different ways of improving your game. You can practice for hours, perfect your swing and stance and observe your role models

Their role:

Why do you need role models to improve your game? Well, How many times do you get inspired to get your golf club and take the field after watching Tiger woods blaze the golf course? , You got it. Roles models play a very important role in inspiring you to play your game to the fullest. Besides the inspirational factors, they also enable you to learn new tricks. All you need to do is select a role model and observe their style of play.

Identifying role models:

When someone talks about role models we immediately assume that they are professional and famous golfers. Though, professional golfers prove to be one of the best role models, they do not necessarily make the only ones. You can have your skillful friends, aggressive opponents and all individuals who manage to play a good round of golf with a good spirit. You can either observe professional golfers as they strut their stuff on TV, or else, in case of your friends, you can communicate and learn new techniques directly. Simply selecting role models is not enough. You need to learn from them constantly by consciously observing them right from their stance, their grip technique and the overall game. This will help you to understand the hidden aspects of golf and will also help you to formulate your own game if you want. Role models, like your coaches, can also provide you with adequate feedback. This matters a lot in golf as many a times players have to rely on technical gadgets, which can show you where you went wrong, but fail to show you exactly how to correct it. However, modeling should be differentiated from hero worship, while the former helps you get an in-depth knowledge about the game, the latter is successful in only just scraping your consciousness. By identifying role models you can motivate yourself, learn new skills and improve your overall game.
