Correct your golf slice

You have good reasons to worry about your incorrect golf slice, if you wish to improve your game. Correction of the classic golf slice is very essential to improve the efficiency of your shots and maintain consistency in the game.

Golf slice:

A golf slice is the type of shot that is hit unintentionally by players in which, the ball curves in the shape of a banana normally from the left of the target and bending to the right of the target. It is the shape of the slice that gives it the other common name of ‘banana ball’. A golf slice shot can be a player’s worst nightmare. It can badly affect the player’s concentration besides being detrimental for the overall success in the game.

Correcting golf slice:

Golf slice is the result of combination of many factors. Lack of practice with poor understanding of different strategies in golf, is one of the most common reason why so many amateur golfers fall prey to the slice. Poor habits once formed can be difficult to undo. Therefore, you can correct your golf slice by improving your stance, your swing shots and your grip. Many players take golf stance lightly and pay the price in form of the classic slice. Thus by correcting your stance position you can control your slice shots effectively. Besides stance, correcting your grip and swing is also beneficial. Typically, an optimum golf swing is required to erase the slice completely. In terms of grip, you need to adjust your hands on the clubs in preparation for an upcoming shot. It is best to hold the club with the left hand, and the thumb suitably placed on the shaft. Care should also be taken to avoid gripping the club too tightly or too lightly as the chances of the ball swinging in the opposite direction increase dramatically. All these adjustments are possible only after constant practice and insight into the game. By correcting your golf slice, you can improve your chances of succeeding in the game and also achieve personal level of perfection.
